Jillian Carew
Assistant Director of Targeted Student Support for Noble Schools
Jillian Carew has spent the last two decades working to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline by creating a pathway to college for all kids as a teacher, school leader, coach and consultant. In her current role as Assistant Director of Targeted Student Support for Noble Schools, she has the privilege of ensuring our greatest at-promise young people connected to guns, gangs, drugs and the court system get the support they need to survive the streets of Chicago and thrive in the life of their choice. To do so, she oversees partnerships and coaches school leaders on the creation and execution of individualized CARE Plans that includes targeted support matched with resources.
Outside of her professional pursuits towards equity, Jillian can be found inspiring youth at the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center; supporting students and staff at Simeon as the Community Representative on the Local School Council; advocating for resources and impacting policy at the city, state and federal level; and championing social action as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Jillian holds a bachelor’s in Sociology from U of I @Urbana-Champaign and a master’s in Curriculum & Instruction from UNLV.
