Founder of Cocoon Consulting LLC
Gail Day, LCSW, is the Founder of Cocoon Consulting LLC, where she supports individuals and organizations in unlocking their fullest potential through therapy, coaching, and professional development. She spent 25 years at Youth Guidance leading mental health programs and supporting adolescents facing trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and school-related challenges. Gail created the nationally recognized Working on Womanhood (WOW) program, an innovative counseling and mentoring model for girls of color. She has shared her expertise on panels from Lurie Children’s Hospital to Harvard Law School and contributed to research demonstrating WOW’s significant reductions in PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
Gail is also the author of The Fading Garden: A Daughter’s Journey with Dementia, offering insight and comfort to caregivers. She is the founder of the 360 Achievement Scholarship, a nonprofit empowering young women pursuing college or trade school. Gail earned her MSW from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Jane Addams College of Social Work.
