Dantrell Jelks
Lead Life Coach for the Youth Department at the Youth Peace of Roseland
Dantrell Jelks serves as the Lead Life Coach for the Youth Department at the Youth Peace of Roseland, where he supports and empowers young people through mentorship and leadership development. In this role, Dantrell focuses on ensuring that youth voices are heard, valued, and included in decision-making spaces that impact their communities. Dantrell was an active participant in the CBI Design Table, where he advocated for youth input while building confidence and leadership skills among participants. Dantrell also helped with bringing together individuals from multiple communities to collaboratively review and engage with materials designed by the CBI Design Table team.
Dantrell is a proud former participant of the Chicago CRED violence prevention program, which provided him with the opportunity to redirect his path, develop leadership skills, and position himself as a positive example in his community. Dantrell currently holds a high school diploma and is completing his second semester of college with a concentration in business. Through his work, Dantrell strives to create meaningful opportunities that inspire youth to lead with purpose and confidence.
